September 19, 2019, will mark 5 years that Fancy became mine. When I first purchased her, we figured out in a hurry that she had been abused in her past. She was 3 when I got her. It took four months of building trust for her to let me pick up her back legs to pick out her hooves.
When my mom was diagnosed with cancer in September 2016, it was the worst news I had ever heard. Friends and family were there anytime I called to cry, scream or vent. But when I needed to just cry there was always Fancy’s mane and neck and her soft muzzle to let me know it was going to be ok.
Over the last 5 years, people have said I should just sell her and get something more broke or more trained that I can just get on and go. Well maybe for those people, now you know why Fancy will never be sold.
Fancy is my rock and has been since the day I bought her. So, if I happen to complain or whine about her, please do not respond with "sell her."
SHE WILL NEVER BE SOLD. That mare is my rock. Period!
